Well, yes, the title on the first page does spell the name "Testicles' but if you can read the teeny widdle print on the side of the pasge, Jaxon helpfully gives the correct pronunciation. i thought I would take that liberty with the title of this post so thateveryone would start off with the right pronunciation ringing through their heads.

Well then there now, this little gem is from SKULL COMICS# 3, 1971, an underground that did a riff on EC comics but without any censorship. The result is mostly Eeek, Ack and Oh No!, but it was often lots of twisted fun. "Jaxon" was a Texan named Jack Jackson, usually referred to as the first underground cartoonist. He did some fine, serious well-crafted graphic albums like COMANCHE MOON, telling from Texas history and so on. Award winning stuff, which someone more ambitious about posting should tackle. I'll be content to put up this little riff on Robert E Howard's Conan the Cimmerian.

Here we see Conan as drawn by Frank Frazetta and as by Barry Smith, side by side. I think the high priest's line refers to the song by the Carpenters. The chanting is familiar, too.

I don't know what the Comics Code would say, some of the art here might have to be touched up before Marvel would print it.
